Who is counselling for?

Hi, I am Susie, a Christian counsellor and Trauma therapist in London.

Anyone who feels they are struggling with life would benefit from counselling.

I offer clients unconditional positive regard, meaning I automatically hold them in high respect, and I am completely non-judgemental.

I help clients identify and address presenting as well as underlying issues through empathic exploration, with psychodynamic insight, as well as using somatic techniques and working with neuroplasticity.

I am also trained in Somatic Experiencing. I am also qualified as a Clinical Trauma Professional. Below is a talk recorded on April 24th 2022, when Tosin Adio asked me to speak online to her international ladies' Christian fellowship group on Trauma and Abuse.

It's the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) that is triggered with worry, anxiety or stress, and the Vagus Nerve plays a huge part.

Worry at the top of the scale is often diagnosed as GAD - General Anxiety Disorder, but anxiety in certain circumstances is to be expected in life.

Testimonials

"I was apprehensive about starting counselling with Susie, as I knew it would be an emotional journey, and my wounds that I had buried for many years would be opened. However, I can honestly say that working with Susie has been a healing and restorative journey.  Susie was incredibly gentle in how she worked with me,  really taking the time to understand my emotions, situation, and how I work. She took time to explain how my subconscious brain was acting, how to re-train my conscious, and linked the bible in throughout our discussions. Susie is kind, attentive, and made me feel seen, heard, and understood throughout our whole journey together. I have had a heavy weight lifted off me, since working with Susie, which both I and my husband have already recognised. I have really enjoyed my sessions with Susie and am truly grateful for the support.
